Step 1: Separate Motor from Top End

Step 2: Remove Motor Retainer

Step 3: Remove Narrow Drive Rings

Step 4: Remove Motor From the Motor Housing

Step 5: Remove Wave Washer & Oring

Step 6: Press Motor Assembly Apart

Step 7: Press Flange Bearing From Motor Raceway

Inspect, Clean, and Replace Parts

Assemble Midwest Shorty 1 Speed Motor End

Step 8: Press Flanged Bearing Onto Spindle

Step 9: Press Spindle/Flange Bearing Into Impeller

Step 9: Press Spindle/Flange Bearing Into Impeller

Step 10: Press Motor Assembly Into Turbine Raceway

Step 11: Press Smooth Bearing Onto Spindle

Step 12: Put Wave Washer Into Housing

Step 13: Put Oring into Motor Housing

Step 14: Screw Motor Into Housing

Step 15: Put Narrow Drives Into Turbine Raceway

Step 16: Tighten Top Ring with Set Screw

Step 17: Test Operation

Disassemble Midwest Shorty 1 Speed Top End

Step 18: Release Post Bearing Raceway

Step 19: Remove Steel Nose

Step 20: Unscrew Aluminum Housing From Steel Housing

Step 21: Remove Upper Small Bearing From Steel Nose

Step 22: Unscrew Motor Screw And Separate Parts

Inspect, Clean, and Replace Parts

Assemble Midwest Shorty 1 Speed Top End

Step 23: Lubricate Bearings & Load Small Bearing Into Steel Nose

Step 24: Load Large Bearing Onto Main Spindle

Step 25: Tighten Screw On Main Spindle

Step 26: Tighten Head Cap

Step 27: Load Wide Drive Rings into Drive Ring Install Tool

Step 28: Load Wide Drive Rings Into Housing

Step 29: Hand Tighten Steel Nose Onto Upper Body

Step 30: Tighten Steel Nose To Aluminum Housing

Step 31: Tighten the Motor Housing To The Top End Assembly

Step 32: Run Handpiece For Smooth Operation
